Head table wine glasses
So far I have bent 24 guage wire into everyone's names and tried multiple attempts on attaching them to the wine glasses I bought at Cost Plus.
One failed attempt. They popped right off!
My newest attempt... I think this will work out nicely!
Name Hangers
This project is the first one I almost gave up on. Originally I found wire that was too thin of a gauge and that didn't work. Then I bought thicker wire and made a "Mrs. Riley" for myself and I wasn't impressed. I then went online and tried to get some inspiration from etsy and how other people has done theirs so I tried again with "Jenna", my MOH, and Viola! Success! I think this one turned out well and I am actually excited to do the rest of them. Luckily I only have 3 BM's total! A little lumpy but effective none the less :)
My first attempt... failed!
This was my first attempt to do my new name and I really wasn't happy with it. I kept seeing all these great ones on etsy and almost gave up. Except that those are 25 bucks a piece and I have only spent 23 total to make 4 and I still have 6 blank hangers left over :) I bought hangers from Home Depot online and the wire from Bevely's in town. Wire is 2 dollars per hanger and the wood hangers were 15 dollars for 10 hangers, with shipping. The ribbon and heart bead I had already=Free! I mainly posted this photo to show off the hanger tops I have since trashed the "Mrs. Riley" and plan to start on that again soon.
Bridesmaids bags!
My first project done for my ladies! This bag will house their other gifts I plan on making for them but is also a gift in itself. Total time was about 3 1/2 hours to create all of them and cost was just under 20 dollars. I bought canvas bags from Beverly's, on sale, for 2.49 a piece then bought 4 "fat quaters" of fabric and used one for each of them to make them more customized. I attached a pocket to the front and a ribbon and then created a smaller bag for the mirrors I will create down the road. I don't own a sewing machine so these were done all the hand and I am pretty proud of the way they turned out.
Custom Mirrors!
Super excited about this project. Just finished them today. Bought mirrors from theknot.com and have them engraved for free but when I received them, to say the least, I was underwhelmed. They just seemed so generic, so I looked around abit on etsy and found some ideas that I liked. Put together a cute little layout in adobe photoshop and printed them out at work (FREE) on photo paper. Glued them to the top with a generic craft glue and then did a couple layers of Mod Podge over the top and VIOLA! They look awesome! Super excited for my girls to see them. On to the next project... Name Hangers!!!
