Photo Booth!
I finally decided to make my own photo booth. I do portraits on the side and have a black and white backdrop as well as an awesome camera an tripod with flash. I plan on setting it up at the wedding so people can take photos of themselves that I plan on sending with our thank you cards. I have also made a few props to go along so people can be creative and have some fun!
Yarn Lanterns!
So super excited about these. I have been fighting with the idea that I couldn't use real candles at my wedding. I finally found yarn lanterns and decided that if I made small ones I could use them as a votive holder with my led votives. I am so excited that I decided to do some more for around the reception area and one big one for the middle of our dance floor, like a chandelier! In all I have to make 64!!! small ones, 16 medium sized, 3 large and one extra large. Which seems like a big job but I am so excited to see how they look day of. Depending on how all those go I may end up making a few more smallish ones to hang in the trees around our eating area... I will keep you updated!
Card Box
Bought this box for 5.99 from Beverly's. I plan on painting it, adding a few details to make it look cuter and then setting it out for cards on the gift table. I think its a cute way to keep things organized. I see lots of people do stacked boxes or bird cages but I liked this box once I saw it and I have just been adding to it with little birds and cards written in wire as well as some ribbon. Simple yet effective.
Wine name tags (for the guests)
I spent a couple of lunch breaks trying to figure out this circle cutter I bought at Beverly's. It took me a few times to get the circles to come out perfectly but once I got it down I cut 50 yellow and 50 purple circles about 3 inches in diameter. I then came home and used my heart shaped hole punch to make the holes and then with a pair of scissors cut a slit at the end of the heart so the wine stem can slip right in. I plan on putting them at the bar with some pens so people can write their names on their tags and don't have to waste a ton of wine glasses while walking around. I bought the scrapbook paper, circle cutter, and heart hole punch at Beverly's. (I swear that's my new home) I love the way they came out and I think my guests will like them too.
Candy Buffet... in progress!
The makings of a candy buffet! Between Ross and Cost Plus I bought all of these containers for approximately 100 dollars. A bit pricey I know but I love that the shape of them is all similar and I actually already found someone to buy them from me after my wedding for their wedding 3 weeks later! I do plan on using the footed dessert dish on the far right to hold the bags for our guests and the cookie jar on the far right will actually hold sugar cookies that I am going to decorate with our wedding colors! Also, those two items I plan on keeping. I am only selling the center 7 vases.
I can't wait, I think its going to look awesome.
